Various suburbs lie against the slopes of Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles on the eastern and western sides of the Cape Peninsula. Most establishments can be divided into basic areas:
False Bay was for many years mistakenly taken for Cape Town's main Table Bay and the name has stuck, though there is nothing false about this beautiful stretch of the Cape Peninsula.
The Atlantic Seaboard is one of the sought-after regions of Cape Town. Situated right on the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean, the suburbs in this area are privy to gorgeous sunsets over the ocean with Table Mountain and Signal Hill as scenic backdrops.
