After the winter rains the landscape becomes a carpet of wild flowers with richly colored patches of Namaqualand Daisy and Vygies. The flower season peaks between early August and late September.
The scenic route, with its majestic rugged mountain ranges, begins just two hours north of Cape Town. We invite you to enjoy the beauty of the Namaqualand and meet the people of the Namaqualand. Landscapes that at other times of the year remind one of the arid, forbidding moonscape burst into unexpected bloom.
