DAY 1: Cape Town. On arrival in Cape Town you will be transferred to your hotel in the city centre .  This afternoon your guide will meet you and we take the cable car up Cape Town’s landmark, Table Mountain (at own expense and weather permitting).  After we’ve enjoyed the breathtaking views, we take off on a city tour of Cape Town, where we see the Company Gardens, the SA Museum, Greenmarket Square, as well as Bo-Kaap.  This evening you have the opportunity to explore the V&A Waterfront with its wide variety of shops and endless optional activities on offer (own expense).

DAY 2: Cape Town. Early this morning you meet your guide at the Lady Hamilton Hotel.  We will then spend the day exploring the Cape Peninsula, visiting Hout Bay on the Atlantic coast before heading off to Cape Point for lunch. In the afternoon we head back via the Penguin colony on the Indian Ocean.  We then end off the day having sundowners overlooking Cape Town. [B]

DAY 3: The journey today takes us to the beach on the Atlantic Ocean to have a last look at Table Mountain across the bay. Then we head off to the area that is known as the “Swartland” for a wine tasting.  We then make our way to the Cederberg area and have lunch at a picnic spot after we have viewed the grave of Louis Leipoldt.  We then head to Traveller’s Rest and take an hours hike on the Sevilla Rock Art Hiking Trail, where you have the opportunity to see ancient rock paintings.  Afterwards we make our way to Wupperthal for dinner and overnight. DAY 4: Cedarberg. After breakfast we make our way through to Heuiningvlei and take part in some slack-packing, which forms part of the community project in Heuningvlei.  We take an easy walk up the hill and on the top we are greeted by donkeys, which will be our mode of transport down the hill again.  After lunch you have the afternoon at leisure.  If you like, you can take a dip in one of the many natural rockpools in the area. [BLD]

DAY 5: Cedarberg to the West Coast. Today we make our way to “Die Waterval” (The Waterfall) via a 4x4 route.  After we have stopped at looked at the waterfall and maybe had a swim to cool down in the natural rockpools we have our way to Algeria campsite, where we stop for lunch.  After lunch, we head for Buffelsfontein Private Game Reserve via a scenic route along Veldrif and Vredenburg.  Once you have freshened up at Buffelsfontein, we go on an afternoon game drive on the reserve in search of some animals that this area is home to like buffalo, Elands, Springbok, Lion, Giraffe, etc. Have your camera ready! [BLD]

DAY 6: West Coast National Park and Cape Town. After breakfast this morning we make our way to the West Coast National Park. The West Coast National Park has so much on offer:  whether you are interested in archaeology, flora and fauna, bird watching, fossils, history of the area or just wonderful sites and views. West Coast National Park’s secret is a secluded stunning beach where in summer you can enjoy a bit of South Africa’s sunshine and swim in the lagoon.  We partake in a short guided walk that is offered by the local community, before we head to Geelbek Restaurant for lunch.  After lunch and a relaxing walk on the beach or a splash in the Atlantic, we head back to Cape Town.[B]
