Half day Wine Tour & Picnic: The Emperor Napolean Bonaparte was supplied with Constantia wine while the latter was in exile on St. Helena from 1815 to his death in 1821, where it is said that his last request was to be served a glass of Constantia wine! The Groot Constantia Estate is a national monument and offers wine tasting and tour of the estate’s museum. From here we go to Buitenverwachting –‘Beyond Expectations’.This beautiful farm, originally part of the Constantia Estate, was founded by Simon van der Stel, the first Governor of the Dutch colony in South Africa.
